Subject: [LAM] disappearing sends
Message #110049
Why would the send slots in a file that was working perfectly with one ASIO driver suddenly blank out in another? I have songs that were recorded using the TASCAM ASIO driver, in which, when opened using my new Hammerfall ASIO setup, in every slot where there had been a bus selected in a particular spot, I can see where it used to be, because the color fill-in is still there. But the legend is gone, and the sends don't work. If I open the same file with the ASIO deselected then the sends will be there with the proper legends ( bus 2, bus 3 etc). But checking the box for the ASIO driver starts up the Hammerfall ASIO driver and as soon as this is complete the sends have blanked out again. The only thing I can do with these files is to open them with the control key down (no audio) and write down on a piece of paper all the bus assigns, relaunch the file and manually change the colored-in blanks to the proper busses. Then the file will play properly, but the next time I open it I have to do this all again. The changes don't save. Which is of course painful This is only with the Audio Instruments, ordinary Audio playback tracks retain their legend and work as they are supposed to. Why?
