HTML chats (as you will find them on some http's) usually are totally lame. They lack of speed, disconnect you every know and then, don't allow proper resizing of chat windows etc etc etc... If you really want realtime chat, download mIRC (www.mirc.com) or any other tool such as Virc (dunno bout the Mac side of things). On IRC there are thousands of channels, you can setup your own just in milliseconds, once you entered. Chatting there is fast and all, even provides a filesend option (if you'd like to swap LSOs). If you want a permanent channel someone with permanent shell access would have to setup a socalled "bot" to maintain the channel and protect it. If someone plans on that I'd recommend doing it on IRCnet. There are usually just "normal" chatters, no warez lurkers or porn traders, it's also available worldwide. Sascha
