One of the things that has been preventing me from jumping over to Logic for
audio is being too unfamilliarun/comfortable with punching in/out.
It seems like every time I want to punch in/out, I have to create a new
track,
then trim the surrounding regions of the old track. This can be pretty time
consuming when you have a vocalist, producer waiting on you. In PT, I just
highlight the word(s) I want to punch and hit record. Takes almost no time
at
all so the session moved quickly and I am not interfering with the flow
(usually they have to catch up with me). In Logic I feel like everyone has
to
wait on me.
So can anyone share with me their techniques for doing quick punches ( I
have
to do many many many so the time adds up)? Thanks!
Colin Miller
PS - I know some people think the answer is not to punch in, but do full
takes
all the way through, but unfortunately I live in the real world.
