Subject: [GEN] Conforming Logic tempo to an audio track.
Message #107928
Every now and then I am given a CD of just music for which a singer to demo over (usually to demo the singer or the song). In Pro Tools, I simply import the audio/song onto a stereo track and then adjust the grid to the music by putting a grid marker every 30 seconds or so that lines up with a eat of the song. This way the grid will always line up and not drift, and only takes a couple minutes to set up. How can I do this in Logic? I know there are no beat markers, just a tempo map (which may be how it's done?). Thanks for any adivce. Colin Miller PS - Simply finding the closest tempo doesn't always work as the audio usually drifts (though not always).
