i would say that as a registered, fully paid up member of the logic
platinum club the spare dongle, if indeed it is needed, should be
part of the package, or at most provided at minimal charge. i
resent the implication that such a high charge implies, emagic
must consider all of us potential threats to their profit line. what's
behind a $350 charge? does it cost that much to make the
dongle? $350 sounds about the right price to make it pointless
to sell on the second dongle, a potential buyer is more likely to
buy the genuine article? emagic are just being super-greedy and
taking advantage of PSDU's? (paranoid, single dongle users :-)).
i don't know what the reason is, but i don't feel too good about it.

agreed. not by taking the piss out of me to the tune of $350,
though.

get real yourself. i, like most on this list, have spent a
considerable amount of money supporting emagic. if you
continue to semi accuse people on this list of somehow forcing
emagic out of business you'll be getting far sterner responses
than this one.
