Musicians,
I have a question regarding your MIDI studio ergonomics.
The core problem is: I have one computer, which is not only dedicated to
audio/video and composing but also for heavy typing-related tasks,
because I'm also a book author and programmer.
So: In order to have a good usability when creating sounds and
playing virtual instruments or recording phrases to the sequencer,
the MIDI keyboard has to reside in a position where I can view the
computer screens AND reach the mouse and occasionaly the computer
keyboard when recording sequences (without stretching or breaking
my wrists or other things).
Placing the MIDI keyboard under the desk is no good solution, because
then the desk height is too large for the "other" tasks. Placing
it on the
desk seems also no good solution - especially when I'm writing or
programming -
it then sits in the way and I can't reach the computer keyboard well.
Do you have any idea or maybe pictures of a good setup where the computer
is used not only for audio/video but also for other tasks without
reorganizing
the room? (Replicating the computer setup is also no option... to expensive
:)
Could buying the Logic Control and ordering things around it be a solution?
Faithfully hoping for some good ideas... Yours, Mickey.

How could anyone know me - when I don't even know myself ?
