The actual code for the various instruments is contained inside of Logic itself. So as long as you keep your Logic 5 CD and keep it updated to the latest version you will always have the necessary data to use -all- of the various extra products Emagic sells. All of these extra products just remain inactive until you've inserted an XSKey that has the proper activation codes. So if you reformat, etc, just install Logic 5 again and you won't have to install the other software separately. Jeremy
