Message #101831
This is a reply to #101813.
Thoughts from the mind of gerhardderksenpl, 01-04-2002: >Is there anyone using Cellsynth with logic? I can't get Cellsynth >working while midinotes are sent and the cellsynth name and >midi channel are chosen in Logic. Cellsynth is switched in the >mode for being used with aonther program and gives a sound >output. Only Logic doesn't give any sound from the >Cellsynth.Cellsynth's mididchannnel is one, midi input chosen >is: "IAC bus #1". Nothing else then that pops up in the midi input >box, though I was hoping to find Logic there... What you should do (and maybe already have done, but that's not clear from the above) is: create a new instrument in the environment, and assign its output to IAC-1. Assign an Arrange track to this instrument. In Cellsynth, pick IAC-1 as your midi-input stream. Since Cellsynth sends its audio to the Mac AV, make sure you can hear Mac AV, instead of the output of your audio card (well... this last bit depends on your card, I guess, but it is something to give some thought). Aside: I haven't used Cellsynth with Logic yet, but the foregoing is the general way you get programs to accept input from a Logic midi stream. Has never failed me yet... -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.ision.nl/users/h/index.html
