I should have used the word "settings" instead of
"preset".
In the KeyCommands window do a search for "settings" and
you will find two relevant keycommands:
Select Next Plug-In Setting or EXS Instrument
Select Previous Plug-In Setting or EXS Instrument
And by "Plug-In" they mean either insert effects or
audio instruments.

Thanks...
Yeah, I found this but can´t get it to respond on anything I do (learn
by
functions register the key´s I press, but does not work).
Wonder why I allways have problems getting logic to take notice of my key
command preferences. And this happens on two completely different setups.
Regards.

same over here
there no way to do this only by scroll the menu.
It's realy pain in the ass.
i copy my sound from Virys B ,and look there to the sounds and then

Wow!! What an amazing tip. This will save me countless quits and
relaunches.
I just used it now -whoever came up with this is brilliant

Henning,
in key commands, are you sure that you´ve selected "learn key by
key
label"?
You also run into problems when two different key commands are
assigned to the same key.

Hello Erik, yes I´m sure. I got it working last night. For some reason
I
can´t understand what I do to get it to work because it just does
after some
"quit logic" or maybe because I load another session. I
don´t know. Logic
simply seem to have problem updating itself with my changes until I do
something "which it likes". Really odd stuff, but I remember I had
this
problem a few months back too.
Thanks again for your help Erik :-)
Henning.
A Yamaha DM2000 could double as a controller for Logic. Would require a
little bit of setup, but could be done.

There is a bug in Logic whereby many keycommands don't
work (ones with certain modifiers) if the keyboard is set
to various non-American settings. Even the Canadian setting
doesn't work.
Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> International -> Input Menu
Curiously, some non-English settings do indeed work fine!

Hey Folks!
So, I've given up on mixing in Logc..94 tracks and it just crashes too much.
Now in to my third OMF export I suddenly get a load of error messages.
Here they are:
1. OMFI_ERR: Mob not present in this file
2. OMFI_ERR: MobID not present in this file
3. OMFI_ERR: Invalid object attatched to property
....and finally: OMF export failed to internal error
After that Logic hangs...
Anyone recognize this?
Possible sollutions?
Greatful for advice,
Erik
i have more luck using the learn key by position option for keys that
wont work

As I was "cleaning" my Logic Pro 7.x/MIX system today I found
these two
plugins installed, and I suspect they are related (was installed) with Logic
Pro 6.x and might be unnecessary for 7.x
ESB TDM OSX (v2.0.1)
EXS24 TDM OSX (v2.0.1)
Ar they needed? (yes I use exs24 and esb), also interested to know if these
are the latest versions.
Hope it´s not too off-topic.

Hey Henning, No it's not off-topic, yes you need them & yes they are

As a long time Logic user, I finally produced my first sample DVD
collection called Piano Attack.

Have a listen at www.pianoattack.com for demo's and more info is at
www.soundlabel.com
O, and there are 390 channel strip presets etc..
cheers,

Cheers Renger,

Hey Erik,
after our conversation, how did it work?
Did the tweaking solve the problems?

What feature is this?
Playing around with the apple loops that were installed with Logic Pro 7.
Wish I could understand this because it really freak me out.
When I select "modern Rock Drums 12" which apears as an audio file
in the
browser (blue icon) it play´s ok, and it is output to DTDM channel 1+2
(stereo drum file). That´s fine I guess...
But when I select i.ex the "motown Drummer 04" it does not play at
all.....
UNTIL I set logic to play (!) and press it again...... It PLAYS!... But on
DTDM channel 24 (mono).
Am I the only one experiencing this weird stuff?
What is the logic in this?
:-/
Best regards.
Henning.
When I try to use audiosuite nothing happens. Simple as that...
Any of you guys had this happen recently? It worked fine for a while
for me anyway.
Ideas anyone?
All the best

Hey Alar,
No, the tweaks did not work...What I had to do was to copy all files to a
different location, optimize and then export. That worked. A little
troublesome since the mixer might want to edit stuff but I'm good for now.
The next song went really smooth, so I don't know what's up with the buggy
one...
Anyway, I've kept using as little options as possible: Include Audio, no
stereo conversions, no dither etc.
Be Good,
Erik

Hey Everyone
I have four AMT8’s for sale. They are all in pristine
condition - having been used in a smoke free studio,
and come with the original accessories. For those
interested, I will be able to post pictues on Sunday.
Please contact me directly.
Thankyou for your time!

I use 24 DTDM tracks in my logic/mix system (esb) setup. Everything works
good, but if I try opening a DTDM audio file and SCRUBB, then dtdm
won´t
play anymore. Completely silent. Only solution I found so far is to restart
logic :-/
Everything looks as it should though.
Is this a nice "feature" = BUG! ???
Any workaround?
TIA.
Henning.
It's a feature called....bug.....I suppose. I've had the same problem, I
think it
came with one of the latest updates, however I'm not sure whether it's
the system update to 10.4.2 or Logic update to 7.1.1. As we all know, the
DTDM-bridge isn't exactly a wonder of stability......
We'll probably have to wait til the next Logic update to get it fixed. But
maybe somebody has a workaround?
Cheers/alar
