You can use Strip Silence on a region in the Audio Window and then tell it to 'replace' the single region in the Arrange with the cuts. That's a quick and dirty way to slice it up. There's also a fancy way to do with the enviroment or key commands (I don't remember exactly) where you set up a MIDI note to 'Split at Song Position.' Then you can program some MIDI, select the audio file, hit play, and Logic automatically slices the audio to the MIDI as it goes. This just cuts it though, then you have to tweak it as desired. --- In logic-tdm@y..., teddybut <teddybut@e...> wrote: > > If you mean: The ability to take live drumtracks and > > chop them up so they always resolve to MIDI bars and beats, > > I find it easier in Logic than it is in PT. > > > > > > f-erenc szabo, > > I never could figure that out in logic > either. in pro tools it's pretty damn easy... > > please instruct me on how to make logic into beat detective... > > Teddy k > > > Select all the regions across the tracks you want to edit and then > > cut/slide/... > > > > Have fun... :-( > > > > > > Peter > > I know how to do that... duh. > > that's not Logic as beat detective! anyone else? > > T > ~ > GO SEE > http://teddybut.com > ~~Teddy Kumpel<teddybut@e...>Kumpelstiltskin Music, Inc./EMI Music > Publishing~~ > Burning Beagle Studios, Brooklyn, NY > ~

Hi! I'm in the middle of a session and I'm trying to apply some audiosuite effects to a soundfile. All of the sudden I get the message: "Could not find HMenus parent in MenuKey" and after that : "error-127 could not read or write undo file". Can't do anything in audiosuite anymore. What's up? Never had anything like this before. Yes, I tried trashing the prefs and the digisetup, nothing helps. LAP 4.8.1, sys 9.1, beige G3, 13-slot exp.chassis, 3 MixFarms, 3 DSPFarms. Must add that, execpt for some DTDM-errors, I've had little or no problems whatsoever for a very long time. Would really appreciate your help on this. All the best Alar

I just downloaded all the waves demos on the waves web site, and I believe I read somewhere that one only should have one Waveshell TDM and one Waveshell RTAS file in the plug-ins folder... However the demo installers seem to have placed a copy of both the Waveshell 3.2 and 3.3 in my plug-in folder :-/ The system seems to work perfect though... Is this correct?!!?.. Modularmoog.

Well, I have the new digital mixer called 02/R 96 for testing, and this is something.... The pre-amp's are great and its totaly different of what is called "02/R". It seems to be using the parts of DM2000, and the difference between these two are probably only the number of In/Outs and the surround EFX's. It can control PT, and the staff said that the controller part will be compatible to Logic soon. Well, the controller part and the faders resolution went up from 64 to 256, so it might be OK to do mixing by sending the automation data to 02R/96. I don't like using PTsoftware :-< but doing the mixing using this thing, it saved me half of the time doing it only in PT. All channels move under 24/96 control, and using the sampling- rate-converter I/O, it will help pre-listening like CD's, 100dB dinamic range, can use Y56K (the Waves plug-in board) and the staff said that they're preparing for the new I/O that can get 16in/outs for one card! (AES,ADAT,analog cards) this is a new standerd mixer for sure. Eiji
