This is a reply to #25481.
Thats true, but I need PT because I do alot of film sound design, which really has to get done in PT for many reasons. When I compose, though, I like Logic. I used DTDM successfully up until recently, when something broke, I think as a result of L8 being incompatible with my TDM rig. Logic quits on me as soon as the "Initializing DTDM" message comes up. Anyway, I can't use Core Audio unless I buy a Core Audio interface. And I may do that, but I'm frustrated that this doesn't work, because it's advertised as working, and that means it should work... naive, I know... -Evan On Jan 1, 2008, at 8:24 AM, Martin Erskine wrote: > I'm using a Tascam DM-24, with an IFFW-DM card. > I have a 96 I/O, so there's only 8 digital channels I can bus > digitally. > Any firewire device that works well with Core Audio can be used to > bus back into protools > with either ADAT or TDIF... > I find I am working more and more in Core Audio only.
