I am aware that it works that way but the problem is, if you have
automation on say an aux channel with no regions on the track that
automation wont move.
In logic 7 it worked independently of the automation settings, I would
go to the small region menu and select 'insert time and move by
locators' and absolutely everything would shift.
The other adavantage of course was that you didn't need to adjust the
automation settings every time you did a global edit.
I guess a workaround is to put long blank regions on any aux channels
in the arrange page that have automation on them.
