Thanks for diving in folks! I ran the setup assistant again, and disabled Core Audio, then brought up a new project with the DTDM-DAE template but still no luck. I did run into the environments while trying to get up and running today, but found that pretty confusing.. and it sounds like it's not just me, which is a relief. I just copied all of your comments, and I'm going to try each of them, and see where it gets me. Matt, I may have to hit you up some more about the environments. I'm totally new to Logic, and it's pretty overwhelming. Thanks to all of you who are helping me! Stephen
