This is a reply to #25198.
Stephen Have you created an environment template or thoroughly read the chapter on it in the manual? Logic does not dynamically add tracks, auxes etc like PT does. You need to define how many of everything you¹d like to work with. For example I have an environment layer for Audio instruments (virtual instruments like ESX or Drumlit from hell) with say 36 audio instruments, I then have a coreaudio (in your case DTDM) layer with 16 audio tracks for running apple loops and rex files,or dragging something I recorded into to use one of logics plug ins (eg bitcrusher on Bass I recorded in), I also have a DAE Audio environment layer with 32 tracks of audio plus 4 stereo auxes which I use to route the virtual instrument and native audio (core or DTDM). On these 4 stereo auxes you will have to enable undre the input source at the top of the fader (ESB 1-2. ESB 3-4, ESB 5-6, ESB 7-8). Then go back to your Audio instruments and DTDM Audio and assign the outputs of those tracks to whichever ESB bus you¹d like them to come out of. Check your audio preferences and be sure that only DTDM and DAE are enabled. This should work now. If not some other things to consider are this: Have you installed the Logic Pro apps update from the apple website? Also protools 6.4 is only approved for OS 10.3.4 and Quicktime 6.5.2 so you may have some uninstalling and reinstalling to do. Search the digidesign support site. As I recall they have a pretty thorough Logic/PT setup guide. Good Luck MATT --
