Instead Logic 8 will require the use of an iPhone, and accounts with AT&T/Cingular, eBay, PayPal and FedEX. Without those accounts, the program will not launch. The iPhone will function as a touch-screen control surface. If there is any TDM equipment in your system, Logic 8 will upload to your eBay account and automatically start, manage and complete an auction to sell the TDM equipment with payment to you via PayPal. To continue using Logic, you will need to photograph the removed TDM equipment using the iPhone. The confirmation photos will be sent to Apple by email and also posted on eBay. When the eBay Auction sale is complete, the iPhone will call Fedex to schedule a pickup. Logic will then go into registration mode and there will be a one-week grace period for the TDM equipment to be delivered to the purchaser after which Logic will not function until the sale is confirmed. When Fedex confirms delivery by emailing Logic, Logic will email PayPal to send the proceeds from the auction to Apple, to be applied to your Applecare Pro Support package, allowing you to call Applecare techs in India for up to 90 days for a maximum of 3 separate support issues. As a premium pro Support member your tech support issue may be escalated to someone who knows what Logic is and how to use it. When you reach that person, they will tell you that Apple does not release information about future upgrades and that since you are already using the new version, you must be making the whole thing up.
