This can be a permissions error. If Logic does not have permission to write to the target path directory for the audio file, the recording cannot be saved. Try repairing permissions on your audio drive and also "get info" on the folder for your audio path and confirm that your user account is the owner for the folder and you can read and write. You can also try recording to a different drive to see if there's any change. If you need to set new permissions, download the free utility "batchmod" that can be found with Google. It works very well, better than the OS X settings "apply to all sub-folders", but it's powerful and can change a lot of permissions at once, so read the instructions carefully before using it.
