That makes sense, since the L3 is one of their phase-linear plugins.
Those use a lot more processing than the regular Waves stuff.
Even with TDM, inserting the L3 or even the LinEQ causes
significantly audible latency. I have to disable those or use
substitutes like RenEQ or whatever, for tracking, even in TDM... then
I put back the Linear plugs for mixing or mastering when the latency
is not an issue.
I bet you can use a much smaller buffer if you don't use the Linear
Phase Waves plugs.
