Subject: [L-TDM] Re: protools rtas performance vs. coreaudio
Message #24858
- thanks for the response to all...I don't think I hear any sound differerence in RTAS over using ESB in Logic..when I bounce - even offline in Logic my tracks sound the same in PT and logic with NI synths for instance. Anybody else second the opinion that RTAS sounds better than CoreAudio/ESB ?? I only really get into ESB problems when the CPU gets overloaded...then I have to restart and it sucks but other than that it works fine here. My main problem with Logic TDM is the lack of delay compensation on the TDM side. The midi is still way better and I actually like the environment idea in Logic...it crashes when I have too many audio edits and move loops around on the fly but PT has weird crashes as well....I just haven't found the workarounds to those yet...btw my hardware settings in PT are usually 512 and level 2...that's ok until I load Akustik piano and BFD...then I get clicks and pops left and right and I wanna throw out my PT rig :-) Best Regards Peter
