That is just a rumour.
An inside contact at the Apple Pro Application group has stated they
are aware of this problem and are working to fix it. He said they
consider it a problem because there are so many pro film composers
that use both Logic and TDM.
Of course, it's Apple, so they don't specify when it will be fixed.
The contact also said that there are at least some composers who have
managed get this to work,but they are using Logic 7.2.0 or 7.2.1, not
7.2.2 or later. Logic 7.2.2 was made to use the full multi-core
processors and that is apparently what broke the DAE connection.
I haven't tried this yet but plan to try it when my current album is
done.
If you have an intel Mac, I recommend you install Logic Pro 7.2.0,
but do not update to the most recent version. It's possible it will
work for you with Pro Tools.
Please let us know what you find out.
I will report my results as soon as I can get to it.
