Subject: Re: [L-TDM] Re: Is Logic going to work with TDM on an INTEL MAC
Message #24731
This is a reply to #24729.
That is just a rumour. An inside contact at the Apple Pro Application group has stated they are aware of this problem and are working to fix it. He said they consider it a problem because there are so many pro film composers that use both Logic and TDM. Of course, it's Apple, so they don't specify when it will be fixed. The contact also said that there are at least some composers who have managed get this to work, but they are using Logic 7.2.0 or 7.2.1, not 7.2.2 or later. Logic 7.2.2 was made to use the full multi-core processors and that is apparently what broke the DAE connection. I haven't tried this yet but plan to try it when my current album is done. If you have an intel Mac, I recommend you install Logic Pro 7.2.0, but do not update to the most recent version. It's possible it will work for you with Pro Tools. Please let us know what you find out. I will report my results as soon as I can get to it. - Dave On Jan 24, 2007, at 5:01 PM, matt_eleph wrote: > --- In logic-tdm@yahoogroups.com, "khaarmeyer" <khaarmeyer@...> wrote: >> Anyone heard of anything so far with compatibility of LOGIC PRO with >> TDM on an intel MAC??? >> >> I had thought at NAMM something would have been mentioned. >> >> Sorry for the rant, but I am frustrated with Apple's lack of service >> to audio professionals at this point given the last several months of >> misadvertising and erronous support. >> >> Thanks. >> > > I feel exactly the same as you, is a nightmare.....
