-Hi there well im running a similar syatm to the one your want ing to buy. Mac pro quad intel 2.6 Protools HD2 with digi 192i/o a digi midi i/o and a mackie 24/8 bus. here is the situation logic will only use core audio for the 192 i/o and not the direct dtm as it claims in the G5 model. however this is arriving shortly. but dont despair because depending what you want to use regarding the midi side of things the mac pro quad is so fast being a 64bit machine that it can handle most logic processis (midi that is and plugins) internaly and use the core audio side for the live audio work. hope that is of help Jon-Paul -- In logic-tdm@yahoogroups.com, "tomtom2503" <bay@...> wrote: > > Our studio is now to old and we need to upgrade but what should we buy? > We are thinking about a Mac Pro and since we still use Logic 5 a new version Logic Pro 7.2. > Right now we use 3 Digidesign 888/16i/o and 2 Emagic AMT 8.
