Hey Thomas y es your system is only compatible with at best g4¹s and with logic 7.1 and protools 6.4. Upgrade path for you most likely will be Protools HD 7 and Logic 7.1, as logic 7.2 from the info garnered here is not yet DAE equipped. Either way it will be a big upgrade financially but at this point there are already compatibility issues with PT 6.4 (limited to OS 10.3.4, has issues with quicktime 7) and getting older revisions of panther applications (virtual instruments, plug ins, Logic 7.1, etc) is a bit involved and witht the new Intel macs out I suspect in a year or so there will be more significant changes in the OS which will not be backward compatible.
