I understand your point... but you're wrong. The future tells me tdm
systems will disappear from the mac platform very fast, at least if
emagic do what everyone expects, that means offline plugins just like
audiosuite (in the factory menu of the sample editor for example), use
of busses for recording and co.
Look, Avid thought they were ruling the video editing market till apple
released final cut pro 3. Now with 4Hd, every single pro-user in video
editing just uses FCP.
As Digidesign are part of Avid, I think we can expect the same scheme
happening. Only a few customers left on TDM and everyone will run
logic natively.
I'm considering myself selling my full pt5/OS9 system (4 mix cards) for
a brand new g5 and a digi002 for its good converters.
