Here is what the maillog says on my email server: ---------------------------------------------------------------- [root@colby log]# grep saschafranck.de maillog Apr 28 10:47:55 colby sendmail[1398]: KAA01398: from=<saschafranck@...>, size=0, class=0, pri=0, nrcpts=0, proto=SMTP, relay=[64.75.1.141] ---------------------------------------------------------------- The weird thing is that its seems email is arriving ok, but its size is 0, so there is no text -in- the email. And for some reason I don't even get blank emails from you, so my mail filter must erase "size=0" messages or *something*! Since same exact thing was happening with Emagic.de mail, there must be some sort of filtering being done somewhere.. I will contact my ISP right away. Thanks for pointing this out! I was thinking it was just an odd problem Emagic.de's server was having, but this proves its probably something to do with *all* .de mail arriving. Cheers, Jeremy

How about versus the Digidesign 882/20? Where does that fall in the mix between the RME, MOTU, etc.? Mine seems just fine. But I am curious. Anyone have any experience comparing them? Maybe you can download Logic Fun - they had copies of it on one of the Brit magazine CD's (Sound on Sound, Future Music, or Computer Music - although one owns one of the others I think). Try their websitel. I don't really find Logic Fun so much fun since it doesn't have a lot of the editors and stuff. But its a good trial version to play with. Why aren't there any updates to LAMP 5.0? I would assume there are some minor bug revisions at least. >i'm just sitting here with a non muso friend, he wants a version of >logic to download to play around with... >there isnt one?

As we sit in our comfortable rooms making music with our biggest worry which bass patch is best, or whether we need some back up vocals on the chorus of a song , or what the newest features of Logic will be .... 4,000 men are being held in Israeli prisons - some being starved, forced to sleep on the ground, and others being tortured (having their toes broken is an Israeli favorite), and having no access to laywers, International Red Cross or UN observers or family .... Doesn't it make our lives seem superficial to worry about such trivial things while good men are suffering and their wives and children don't even know if they are alive or dead? And many of those wives and children are sleeping on the concrete in public places without housing, barely able to eat or bathe. Is WAVES the only Israeli software maker? I think its time to boycot all Israeli products in light of the continued military aggression against civilians, and occupation of people for over two generations.

>4,000 men are being >held in Israeli prisons - <snip> I wonder if there were any atrocities in the world when Ravel wrote Bolero? How about when Picasso was formulating cubism? Were there good and innocent people being persecuted? When Kubrick was filming 2001 was there some group of oppressors flexing their muscles against a group of defenseless bystanders? Let's not pull this issue in out of thin air please. Yes there is incredible human suffering taking place 24/7 somewhere around the world. Many of us support the fight against human rights violations and try to ease suffering in various ways. Both locally and globally. It doesn't mean we have to stop what we are also doing artistically or professionally. Not looking for a war here, just my 2¢. -- Doug
