Hi,
I'm looking at a new drive to put in my Mac Pro Dual 2,66.
It's purpose will be to use it real time audio and to store
projects.
Here's what I found :
Seagate 750 GB SATA II 7200 RPM 16 mb
Specifications 750 GB
Model Number ST3750640AS
Interface SATA 3.0Gb/s
Cache 16 MBytes
Capacity 750 GB
Guaranteed Sectors 1,465,149,168
PERFORMANCE
Spindle Speed 7,200 rpm
Average latency 4.16 msec
Random read seek time <8.5 msec
Random write seek time <10.0 msec
Is this drive ok for real-time use and back-up ?
Buffer size 16 mb OK ? 300 mb transfer data ok ?
Is this a good ( best ) choice for Mac Pro 2 x 2,66 GHz ?
Any thoughts and comments welcome !
Peter
