just a question - have the rules changed on OT posts? Why should I have to reply to Roman personally? I thought the point of having lists was that we had a community that could converse with one another, share thoughts etc. The reason for the existence of a separate OT list is that people who want to remain very strictly on topic can filter the slightly more whimsical stuff out. Even that seemed somewhat unnecessary to me - it used to be the case that subject headings and using filters was sufficient to manage one's reception of the list. Isn't this new "rule" going much too far? I notice too that certain administrators seem slightly more 'enthusiastic' on points like this than others. It might be good to have them identify themselves when they intervene.
