I have done this on a number of occasions. I copied from a harddrive however, but you could do that as well. Just copy your S 5000 cd to a folder on your HD and that should be it. S 5000 files are windows compatible so you should have no problem with the computer recognizing it and so. I don´t understand why it doesn´t work through you cd drive though, it should just like Emu, S 3000 and everything else. I don´t have any S5000 CDroms so I can´t try it out, sorry but good luck.
