Well, that's my point...no silly flashing logos and unnecessary bits. It's just an information web site after all. The icon simply signifies a folder or container, and apart from changing the colour or giving it an unnecessary picture you know immediately what everything is for. I like this simplistic approach on this kind of web site, but of course it's a matter of opinion and yours differs to mine.
