Were there good and innocent people being persecuted? When Kubrick was filming 2001 was there some group of oppressors flexing their muscles against a group of defenseless bystanders? Let's not pull this issue in out of thin air please. Yes there is incredible human suffering taking place 24/7 somewhere around the world. Many of us support the fight against human rights violations and try to ease suffering in various ways. Both locally and globally. It doesn't mean we have to stop what we are also doing artistically or professionally. Not looking for a war here, just my 2¢. -- Doug
