That's weird. For me its always the "one-shot" (which in everyday terms means play-through) that is activated by default and not loop. I hate it. These parameters should be globally changeable across all samples. One of my biggest complaints about this feature. My temp work around was to configure easy keyboard shortcuts (a & z keys) to switch between samples. Then when you page down, the mouse is only a quarter-inch away from the next target check box. It really speeds up dealing with this annoyance. Regardless, a few minutes replaces days when building keyboards full of drums...
