You could try restricting the search that EXS makes for sample in your
preferences (open the Instrument editor and pick preferences from the edit
menu). In general, you can tell the EXS what drives to search on and if all
the
files that you want it to use are on one drive you might be able to resrtict
the search to that drive.
I am on PC and I only use local drives for my samples so I cannot test this
here.
