As far as ADSR settings are concerned, that's what I've been working
with but the feel just isn't quite right. I can get close but only with
snares that have a fairly soft attack to begin with. I will have to try
sample start as an alternative. That might solve the attack curve
issues that don't feel right with the ADSR.

I have not tried hyperedit but I should check it out. I guess I'm used
to the Matrix environment. I usually select all of the notes in a
sequence and set each notes length to 1 tick via the transform
function.
