I didn't mean to imply that there definitely was a compatibility problem
with regard to the recent EXS post. But many times, I have downloaded kits
from the internet that did not function without Creator/Type conversion. I
offered this utility as a general tool, not as a specific requirement for
this particular situation. I've had to use this at times when copying
instruments on a client's PC to their Mac and in one case after converting
samples with Translator and moving them to the Mac (the Translator issue may
not be a problem in general but it was an issue in one situation). My
original post stated the appropriate answer to the question of WAVs on a
Mac. I us Mac folks can read WAVs (PC EXS users can use AIFFs too). However,
I'm sure the utility I offered will come in handy in the future for some
people.
