Some more purposes to use groups for:
- When combining instruments it comes in very handy. I often do that to get
fat layered sounds. But well, often one instrument is too loud, so I might
want to reduce the level. Pretty much a timeconsuming job when doing that
for each zone. But because I almost allways have all my zones assigned to
groups (which will automatically be copied with the zones) I can just alter
the level of the groups.
- I often use two (or even more) layers of the same zone (again to get a
fatter sound), just that I might detune the doubled zones. These can now be
panned and levelled easily using groups. I wish there was a tuning parameter
directly on groups, would make such jobs way easier to accomplish. Or well,
editing of multiple zones would just do the same... I hope this will come
soon.
- Filter and ADSR offset. Only available for groups. Pretty great to get
more interesting sounds. I might use one layer plain while another layer
will run through some Filter/ADSR offset.

Sascha
