Some people put Reaktor or other CPU intesive synths on a second computer. Logic compensates for the latency of VSTi's however, so using the standalone version of a synth like Reaktor introduces delays and latency which need to be compensated for when you are mixing the audio from the second computer back into your song. Another issue is that recreating your song is no longer a matter of just opening it in Logic -- you may need to open synths/samplers on the second machine and select patches and you do not have access to Logic's native/DX and VST effects until you bring the audio in from the second machine. Because of all this I would recommend using a fast primary machine for everything except Gigastudio if possible. The idea of keeping other apps and the internet off your audio machine as suggested by Eppo is a good one. Regards, Murray
