Logic 6 is no longer available, in fact Logic 7 was released over two years
ago. Furthermore, AFAIK, there is no upgrade path offered from versions of
logic older than 5.

The requirements for Logic 7 are listed here, with a G4 as minimum:

Only second hand, but be very careful that any offers you may find are
genuine, and remember that there is no support for versions of Logic older
than 7, nor for XSkeys which haven't a 7 authorisation. If you do happen to
find a second hand logic 5 or 6, you can then upgrade to 7.
